Invited men and women in the US Army will release some steam through a blasted "Street Fighter V" tournament being held today.

The tournament is open to all active duty men and women, according to a statement.

The tournament, which begins today, July 28th, will be streamed via Twitch. It will consist of eight garrisons, each hosting a local tournament in their Army Moral Welfare and Recreation Warrior Zones. The parentheses are randomly provided with duplicate elimination.

Several streaming sessions are held on different days. The first to contest their tournament is Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. Fort Gordon in the city of Georgia will next go on August 1

1th. The Lewis-McChord joint base in Washington will be the third to stream on Aug. 18, while Fort Wainwright in Alaska will last stream on Aug. 25.

Professional fighting game Shoutcaster and avid player Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Jones will comment on the tournament. Jones is a military police currently stationed as Hammond La Station Commander for the United States Army Recruiting Command.

Fort Riley, USAG Humphreys, USAG Bavaria and Fort Knox will also host qualifying tournaments.

The finalists will be doing it at PAX West in Seattle, Washington on September 1st. The winner will receive Twitch equipment, a two-night stay at the Mandalay Bay MGM Resort, an exclusive Army Entertainment Esports jersey, a tournament coin and a $ 500 voucher card.

The reason the army is organizing a Street Fighter V tournament has something to do with raising morale and keeping the soldiers in shape at the same time.

The army believes that the game will help soldiers improve hand-eye coordination, mental focus and reaction time. In this sense, it is a miracle that the army did not choose shooter games like "Rainbow Six Siege" and "PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds".

Anyway, soldiers stand in a tournament and the whole world can watch prizes in the video game battlefields. / ra
