After a 24-year break, Streets of Rage is back. Publisher Dotemu, which specializes in classic games, today announced that it is collaborating with developers Lizard Cube and Guard Crush Games on Streets of Rage 4, a new entry into Sega's classic Beat'em up franchise. The first Streets of Rage appeared in 1992 for the Sega Genesis. She had two sequels that ended in 1994 with Streets of Rage 3. The games featured punk aesthetics and catchy soundtracks. The franchise was a Sega standard during the 16-bit era, but it never lived beyond that (until now).
