PHOENIX – Sunstar Devin Booker is closed for the last three regular season games after suffering a sprained left ankle in Wednesday's 118-97 defeat by Utah Jazz] Booker was injured when he landed awkwardly , when a pass with 4:28 minutes in the first quarter took place. He was looked after by training staff, and the entire tanning bed came from one end of the court to the other to be by his side.
Booker was suspended for the remainder of the game and finished the tournament with eight points. His injury left the Suns out without five of their top players, as Center Deandre Ayton, Guardian Tyler Johnson and striker Kelly Oubre Jr. and T.J. Warren was all injured and did not play.
Booker has scored an average of 36.2 points in the last eleven games, scoring 25 or more points in every competition in this section. He recently had consecutive games with more than 50 points.
