If you like MacBooks, you should check out the Surface Laptop 2. It's thin and light, just as you would expect from a MacBook, but it even beats Apple for some new features.
First, it has a touch screen display
It is convenient to tap on the touch screen on an icon or to change an app. You can also buy a pen and use the screen to mark documents or fine-tune a Photoshop image. I like that Microsoft still offers a more traditional USB port for keyboards, mice, and other peripherals instead of following Apple and forcing users to USB-C. However, there is no SD card slot, if that is important to you.
Like the MacBook Pros from Apple, the Surface Laptop 2 also features the latest generation of eighth-generation Intel chips. They are more powerful than the previous generation, at least on paper, but I did not really notice much difference while working in a web browser all day. Most things felt fast and I still could use Photoshop to manipulate images. With no dedicated graphics, this is not really a machine for hardcore games, so keep that in mind.
