Cesar Sayoc, 56, of Aventura, Florida, is facing federal action and could face up to 48 years in prison if convicted.
On Friday, the authorities had intercepted 14 packets sent by Sayoc through the US postal system. None of the devices detonated and nobody was hurt.
Among his alleged targets were former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, Californian Senator Kamala Harris, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker and The California Rep. Maxine Waters
Sayoc Probably facing five federal crimes in court: Interstate transport of explosive, illegal explosives, threats against former presidents and others, threats to interstate communications, and attacks on current and former federal officials.
Sayoc will appear at the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida at 2 pm ET Monday, when a federal judge expects him to formally inform him of the allegations against him, read him his rights and, if necessary, appoint a lawyer.
The magistrate judge will also set or decline the bail.
Sayoc told investigators after he was arrested in Plantation, Florida, that the tube bombs hurt anyone and that he did not want to hurt anyone, such a law enforcement officer.
But federal authorities say bombs sent by Sayoc are real and dangerous to their recipients.
Sayoc was held Friday night in a federal prison in Miami. It seems he lived in the white Dodge Car on Friday morning, where he was found and arrested, the law enforcement officer said.
Investigators believe that Sayoc made pipe bombs in the van, two sources of law enforcement officials said. Inside the vehicle were soldering equipment, stamps, envelopes, paper, printers and powders, the sources said.

Bodybuilder had previously worked as a male dancer for several years and more recently as a pizza-driver.
On his LinkedIn account, Sayoc described himself as a choreographer and booking agent for male strippers and burlesque shows.
Sayoc's past is marked by encounters with law enforcement agencies.
Court records show that he had been arrested at least nine times, mainly in Florida, for allegations of theft, battery, fraud, drug possession, and suspended sentences.
He was arrested in 2002 after Miami police threatened to bomb an energy company and said, "It would be worse than September 11th."
"The defendant telephoned a representative of Florida Power and Light Co. … and threatened to blow up FPL," a Miami The police department reported the incident.
The caller "threatened to blow up the building when FP & L turned off its lights," the report said.
He pleaded guilty to the offense, it said in records and was sentenced to a probationary year.
In 2014, he was arrested and later found guilty of stealing copper pipes in a Home Depot, records show
Sayoc's political views
Sayoc published his political views on social media and became prolific on his two Facebook accounts and three Twitter feeds that often publish provocative photos and memes that attack liberals.
In 2016, Sayoc announced his election as Republican in Florida, and a Facebook video showed him at a Trump rally in a "Make America Great Again" hat
He picked Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum , the Democratic candidate in Florida governor's race, more than 80 times in October alone.

The text of the tweet threatened former vice president Joe Biden and Holder, both of whom were attacked by improvised explosives discovered last week.
"Trump trump trump hey Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. And Eric Himpton Holder Sr. Stick your BS all the crap you're talking about where the sun is not shining. We'll hit your threats right on your face soon. We will not choose Seeing us soon "We are not ones," the tweet wrote.
Sayoc also published virulent antimuslim memes and published the address of billionaire and democratic giver George Soros, as well as photos of homes of others who were later bombarded.
