KOBANI, Syria ̵
Mohammed Abu Adel, the chief The Manbij Military Council, an Arab-Kurdish US-based group in the city, says the bomb is hundreds of meters away from a security headquarters that hosts the council shortly before midnight on Thursday.
A US military official said on Friday that an incident involving coalition forces had been reported in Manbij, but said that no further information was available.
Col. Ryan Dillon said the coalition is still collecting information about the incident.
Manbij threatens a Turkish military operation. Ankara says Syrian Kurdish militia officers consider them "terrorists" and an expansion of Kurdish insurgents in Turkey are controlling the city.
