LENEXA, Kan. – Williams Foods LLC Reclaims Some of Its Taco Spice Products Due to Concerns About Salmonella Contamination.
According to FDA, the company recalls two different taco spice products:
- One ounce pack of mild taco spice mix at a good value with an article number of 564829444. The product's UPC is 0 78742 24572 0, with an expiry date of 07/08/2021 and 07/09/2021.
- 1.25 oz HEB Taco Seasoning Mix Reduced Sodium, with a part number of 050215. The product's UPC is 0 41220 79609 0, with a sell-by date of 07/10/2021, 07/11/2021 and 07/15 / 2,021th
No other "Best By" data is being recalled.
The Company states that these spices contain a cumin spice that was involved in a salmonella recall issued by Mincing Spice Co.
The product is sold in selected grocery stores across the country.
The company calls the products out of caution and says there have been no representatives of types of diseases.
Consumers who have bought these spices will be asked to return them for reimbursement to the point of sale.
