Duckworth quickly came back to Twitter and wrote: “Does @TuckerCarlson want to walk a mile in my legs and then tell me whether I love America or not?”
Would @TuckerCarlson walk a mile in my legs and then tell me whether I love America or not?

As Duckworth’s profile as a potential Biden runmate rises, Carlson̵
Duckworth’s combat experience has helped her climb a list of Biden’s potential running companions, The Post reported. In 2004, she lost her legs when insurgents shot down the Black Hawk helicopter, which she piloted with a rocket-propelled grenade.
After her election to the Senate in 2016, she used her military balance sheet to reprimand Republicans who questioned Democrats’ patriotism. When MP Douglas A. Collins (R-Ga.) Accused the Democrats of being “in love with terrorists” in January, Duckworth replied, “I left parts of my body in Iraq to fight terrorists.”
On Monday, Carlson went to Duckworth over the weekend to interview CNN’s Dana Bash when the Senator proposed a “national dialogue” about whether memorials should be removed in honor of George Washington because he owned slaves.
“When Duckworth speaks in public, you are reminded of what a deeply stupid and unassuming person she is,” said Carlson before playing the clip.
The Fox News presenter then suggested that he refuse to question a person’s patriotism and said, “It is a very powerful charge and we will never try to make it.”
“But in view of all this, the conclusion cannot be avoided. These people actually hate America, ”said Carlson. “There is no longer a question about that.”
Later in that segment, Carlson argued that “today’s Democratic Party leaders … despise this country.”
Tammy Duckworth risked her life and lost her limbs in the service of our nation. Trump’s allies have more respect for traitor statues than real live heroes like you. https://t.co/UQtxYVf9vZ

It is shameful. Former Lieutenant Colonel Duckworth lost both legs in the service of her country and earned a purple heart before becoming US Senator. He owes her a public apology. https://t.co/WtXgRXF42t
