A 58-year-old Taunton man died of equine encephalitis, his family said. He is the youngest victim of the dangerous mosquito virus that killed at least three other Massachusetts residents this year.
Scott Mosman died Friday at around 3 am in the hospice after being treated for his illness, according to his brother Keith Mosman at the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence , Scott Mosman, who spent 30 years in environmental remediation, was diagnosed with the disease more than a month ago.
"He was a good guy, taken too young, Keith Mosman, a 60-year-old Raynham resident. said. "He fought like a gun son."
