Chinese smartphone makers have taken a sly way to eliminate the display hack and create a truly new screen by incorporating pop-up cameras into their cell phones. We've seen both Oppo and Vivo within a few weeks, and the Nex Nex smartphone was already brought through the teardown process at MyFixGuide .
In the settings you can see all the mechanics and components that allow the sliding movement on the selfie camera. There's a feather in there, but it's actually the silver stepper on the right that pushes the camera up. Everything seems to be put together pretty well, but moving parts are moving parts and therefore more prone to error.
The teardown also features the vibration motor, which is part of the Nex piezoelectric speaker system that replaces the standard earphone you get on other phones. It follows the same principle as Xiaomi's original Mi Mix, but MyFixGuide says the approach is quite different. With so many companies making smartphones that are hard to distinguish, it's nice to take a closer look at some of the standout products.
