The teenager allegedly linked two other friends, whom he said had helped him bury his mother and stage a burglary scene in his home. Then, the police said, the teen returned home from school on Friday and called 911 at 9:11 to report a break-in.
The police also arrested his two friends, both 17. Both alleged accomplices remain in custody. Although they have not yet been formally charged, the police said they are likely to face multiple criminal charges.
