A girl from Washington State was reportedly hospitalized on Saturday night after a bottle thrown by a moving vehicle exploded.
When the Vancouver police responded to a small explosion around 7:40 pm, they discovered a 13-year-old girl with severe injuries to her arms and hands, Fox 12 reports. She was hospitalized with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
According to the investigators, a green SUV passed East 26th Street in Vancouver when someone in the vehicle allegedly threw a plastic bottle on the floor
The girl picked up the bottle to throw it away as it exploded in her hands, said the police.
The Vancouver Police Department did not immediately respond to Fox News request for comment. The incident remains under investigation.
