WINCHESTER, Va. (WDVM) – A New Study can monitor parents how much their children use digital media.
According to scientists from the University of Southern California, adolescents who were strong users of digital devices like smartphones had twice as many symptoms as inattention, focus, resistance to distraction, and control of impulses more than those who used only the devices Study author and psychologist Adam Leventhal says: "It's one of the first studies dealing with modern digital media and its' connection to ADHD risk."
"When that happens, the kid disappears into her room's iPad and they spend hours there, you reinforce a habit that they can no longer easily break later on, and some kids are completely weakened by it, completely depressed by it. Grafton's Chief Operating Officer says.
The two-year study followed over two-thousand-year-olds in Los Angeles County schools.
