The biggest story in June 2018, due to a series of key events, including several Sony comments, was a cross-reference. While Microsoft and Nintendo publicly support the idea, Sony has kept the PS4 out of the conversation. Fuel continues to be added to this fire, and the latest comes from a Pokemon -inspired MMO game called Temtem . As might be expected, Temtem cross-play is allowed on all scheduled platforms, with the exception of PlayStation 4.
Temtem A Kickstarter-funded game by Spanish developer De Crema, shattered The Goal lies at hundreds of thousands of dollars, thereby expanding into consoles. An early stretch goal aimed at the switch next to the PC, but eventually the team also confirmed PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. As an online game, of course, De Crema wants to implement cross-play and cross-save, but note-backers need to "consider that some platforms will not allow it (PS4)".
Sony can not revise its systems overnight, but every time this happens, the discussion will be in the foreground.
