If you have confirmed or neglected a Tesla Model 3, Model S or Model X before February 1 To provide a recommendation code for 6-9 months free charge, do not be afraid – you can still do that!

Our own Paul Fosse has spent a bit of time studying the intricacies of the Tesla referral program, including the procedure of adding the order code after ordering. While it's not as easy as entering the Supercharging discount code on the order page, it's not that difficult to apply later.

The key is, of course, that your vehicle (or Tesla Powerwall or solar roof) before February 2. If you have already accepted the delivery, my understanding is that your ability to receive the Referral Bonus has expired. Sorry.

However, if you have completed your order by February 1, and have not yet received the delivery (as many buyers of Model 3, Model S, and Model X in Europe), you can now apply a reference code (mine is tomasz7234). if you want to use it), here are the easy steps:

  1. Send an e-mail to [email protected] (or [email protected] if you & # 39; re in Europe) with the word " Referral " in the subject line.
  2. Enter your name contact information reservation number ] (starts with RN ) and the reference code you want to use (for example, tomasz7234 if you use mine) in the body of the email.
  3. Click Submit

You may not receive a response from Tesla, but it should still be used. (It is n Not necessary to try again.)

If you are traveling with the first Tesla, you may wonder about all sorts of things. How will it really work – charging, driving in the city, road trips, autopilot, touch screen, etc. Below I'll show you a handful of our main takeaways and early lessons if you own a Tesla Model S in Europe. [19659007]

First of all, if you do not have a Home Charger do not stress! Just find out where charging stations are in your area and identify some of the usual destinations (grocery, mall, park, beach, etc.). Of course, with a Tesla, you can also carry out convenient charging in the vicinity. However, regular super-fast charging is not ideal and is not needed when you're charging at your destination. (In Florida, with a 71-mile 2015 BMW i3 without a fully charged state, it's all good and comfortable.)

Road Trips are often simpler, more comfortable, and more relaxing in my humble opinion Rides with a different vehicle type. I drove with a friend from Poland to Paris (and back) in a Model S, and I honestly think that the ride in Model S was twice as nice as in a Mercedes, BMW or Audi. (Well, the back massager in a high-end Mercedes-Benz could have led to close competition.) There are a few reasons why it's so nice to take a Tesla outing:

  1. The Navigation System is brilliant . You seriously set your goal – even if it is across the continent – and follow the instructions of the car.
  2. If you have an autopilot, driving on the highway makes about 3 × more pleasure.
  3. Smooth The electric drive train reduces fatigue. It is peaceful.
  4. You should actually be on a drive every few hours. Many people (like me) think it's better to go through and drive for 3-4 hours (or more). That's really not ideal. I was convinced to stop at the Tesla every two or so hours, and I am convinced that in the end I felt much better than if I had pushed through in a gasmobile .
  5. The power. The power, baby.

If the touch screen freezes or does something strange, do not panic. The car will still drive well. To reset the screen in a Model S or Model X (I'm not sure what Model 3 is), just click your thumbs on the two scroll bars on the steering wheel. If you press and hold for about 5 seconds, the touch screen will reset and should fix the problem. (I once had a problem with talking navigation that stuck in the middle of directions, as is the case with an old CD.)

Also when the screen restarts does not freak out ! You'll hear it shut down and panic if you think the car is going down when it's not. Actually, even after doing it several times, sometimes it just makes me crazy. (I had to do it many times because we had underground parking in an underground car park that would cut off the internet signal.) Without the internet signal Spotify would not work and the navigation would not work, it would generally take a long time to recover the internet signal, if I just waited, I often had to restart the touch screen.)

Tesla vehicles are wide . Really they are. Just be careful. And get rim protectors. Imagine, the car is on each side about a hand's length wider than you think.

Get ready for a conversation . If you are in California or Norway, nobody will bother you. Otherwise, there is a good chance your new Tesla will attract many eyeballs and questions. You will sometimes be surprised who is interested in your Tesla. Prepare your conversation points and maybe have a way to keep them fresh so you do not get bored. You can present the easter eggs (a fan favorite), the acceleration, the highest safety ratings, the brilliant navigation system, the autopilot, the drunk, the smooth music player, the range (the first or second question that most people will ask), how easy and convenient it is to charge, emission-free and gas-free life, regenerative braking, over-the-air updates, excellent vehicle efficiency and so on. I honestly recommend a method to keep these discussions fresh, as they can get a bit old after more than 100 chats.

Of course you can also share these 30 evil Tesla sales charts to show them how competitive they are Model 3, Model S and Model X are the.

If you like your car to ours If you want to add Tesla's shuttle network, you should occasionally drive from city to city by car a few hundred dollars, and / or add it to Turo, Lyft or Uber if those options suit you.

If you have an unfortunate service problem, check your Tesla service options ahead of time. You can bring your Tesla to the service center where your car is delivered. However, you can also get a Tesla Ranger to wait for your car at home or at work. Of course you can call Tesla for service issues, but you can now also communicate with Tesla via the app or the navigation system.

Incidentally, the Tesla app is wonderful and fun. Things you can do with the app that I've often found useful include:

  • Pre-cooling or preheating the car
  • Locking and unlocking the car
  • Checking the charge status
  • Opening the trunk or the hunk of frunk
  • the horn or the lights are flashing (especially funny if somebody else is in the car or misses)

You can also summon it and now it can but I was honest to nervous about trying It even the basic summoning option. 19

Finally, you can use the app to enable the valet model or speed limit mode to limit what another driver can do while driving your car to the garage or elsewhere.

If you have a friend married consider offering your Tesla as a wedding car. In my humble opinion nothing else is comparable. The clean, luxurious hi-tech ride in a Tesla is perfect for a wedding day. You can even use the Touch Screen Drawing App to draw a heart, write a message or otherwise surprise the happy couple.

I am sure I miss something interesting and useful Tips and Tricks. Maybe other Tesla owners can play with their own thoughts, lessons or favorite things with a Tesla.
