House Bill 4364, submitted by State Rep. Briscoe Cain, would produce items such as sweets, potato chips, biscuits, soda, and energy drinks that can not be purchased with food stamps.
CONNECTED: The program would allow food stamp recipients to buy groceries online.
The bill defines energy drinks as a drink that contains at least 65 milligrams of caffeine per eight ounces of fluid, and is said to "specifically boost the metabolism or stimulate an increase in the mental or physical energy of the consumer," reports ABC News .

Upon adoption, the bill will enter into force on 1 September.
