On Tuesday, CNN released interviews with supporters of Texas Trump, who defended his racist attacks on four colored congressional women. On Wednesday evening, Van Jones showed his jury of supporters of President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama. But it got exciting when a supporter of Black Trump was asked about the President's racist statements.
Two men, one white and one black, in the group said they supported Trump and would probably do it again because the business went well. Two women in the group complained that Trump's racism was harmful to the country.
"I just go back to the values," said the older women. "I appreciate treating people with dignity. And if something does not agree with these values, I am not in favor. So I will not bet on my values. "
Jones asked the Black Trump supporter, who had already met the president, whether he wanted to take profit over his assets. He paused and was not sure what to say.
"That would be a yes," the older women shot back.
"Look," began the young man.
"That would be a yes," she repeated.
"I think this 'back' comment has resonated with many of us who support it," said the young black Conservative. "It hit many of us in the stomach. And I think the president puts many of us in a very precarious situation. I think the president has a base and he has a right-wing extremist base, and in this base there are many white nationalists, many racists and many anti-Semites.
He said what he said Trump uses a PR strategy to upgrade the base, which he can understand, but it does not make it easy for him.
"And so I feel that many of us feel 'Wow, where do we fit in?'" He continued. "Are we still welcome in this movement? Are colored people still welcome? Many of us still waver from this comment. And I would tell you, many of my friends who are black conservatives, many of them jumped out of the Trump train. They went to Kamala Harris. They took part in their campaign and also Joe Biden's. Certainly here in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
