Kate Middleton's brother James Middleton has revealed his crippling fight against depression and the moment when he "could not finish it any longer."
The 31-year-old said he was not immune to depression because of his privileged birth. "
He describes the disease as" a cancer of the mind "and has pinpointed the moment in which he knew himself had to change things.
He said in the Daily Mail, "I also felt misunderstood; a complete failure. I would not want the feeling of worthlessness and despair, the isolation and the loneliness of my worst enemy.
James says it started in late 2016 and it was not until December 2017 that he spent time alone in a remote area of the Lake District, realizing that he needed help urgently.
He wrote: "I had finally faced the fact that I could not cope, that I was out of order. that I needed urgent help. And this recognition led to a kind of calm: I knew that if I accepted help, there would be hope.
James writes that he was diagnosed with ADD a year ago and has had dyslexia since childhood.
After seeking professional help, he was able to understand depression.
