A charter bus that drove to the Masters crashed on a Georgia highway Thursday and left several injured, affirming the Georgia State Patrol in a written statement to USA TODAY Sports.
The Patrol Information Office wrote in an email that the bus leaves the roadside of Interstate 20 on Thursday before 9am, about 18 miles west of the Augusta National Golf Club. The bus tipped medianly as the driver overcorrected.
State Patrol said that 18 people were on board and "some of the passengers" were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. CBS subsidiary in Augusta, Georgia reported that 16 of the 18 passengers were hospitalized as a result of the accident on early Thursday afternoon.
The driver of the bus, 61 years Old Steven Hoppenbrouwer was alleged that the report on the incident is still ongoing.
