The cast of Guardians publishes an open letter in support of James Gunn

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Chris Pratt and his comrades "Guardians of the Galaxy" arrive ten days after his release in support of fallen director James Gunn.

In an open letter that was signed by Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and five other main cast members of the franchise, the cast said that they were the director and the character he set both on the set of the first two films Gunn was released from directing the third installment of the franchise by The Walt Disney Co. after old tweets resurfaced, joking about topics such as rape and pedophilia.

The cast says she has been waiting 10 days to publish a statement on "Thinking, Praying, Listening and Discussing". In the meantime, various performers, including Gunn's brother Sean Gunn, have made individual statements. Fan petitions were also launched online to reinstate Gunn.

"Each of us is looking forward to working with our friend James again in the future," wrote the actors, who said they were all shocked.

Pratt In an Instagram post, he added, "Personally, I think it's great to see him again as the director of Volume 3."

"Although I do not support James Gunn's inappropriate jokes years ago, he is a good man," Pratt added.

The letter also discusses the climate surrounding Gunn's abrupt shooting and the lack of a "fair trial" before the public Opinion "led.

Gunn's current Twitter account is heavy on left-wing politics, and some on the right to save with whom he found and promoted the Tweets from 2008 to 2011, which led to his dismissal.

"James is probably not the last good person to be brought to justice," continued the cast. "Given the growing political divide in this country, one can say with certainty that such cases will continue, although we hope that Americans from across the political spectrum can end the character murder and stop awakening the mob mentality."

Gunn was a writer and director of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise from the beginning, with an obscure Marvel comic title about a group of multicolored outsiders, turning them into a space opera with comedy and retro music, which made Pratt a great movie star. Through two installments, the franchise has raised more than $ 1.5 billion in global box office, and much has been put on the third film, which would launch another decade or more of Marvel films.
