(CNN) – A catering car caused chaos on Monday at the Chicago O & # 39; Hare International Airport until an American Airlines rescued the day.
Dr. Kevin Klauer, an osteopathic doctor, recorded a video of the car's crazy ride on the tarmac as he waited for his flight to Tennessee.
"At first it was funny to see this drive and not fall over, but as it gained momentum, it posed a danger to humans," Klauer told CNN.
The video shows how the car turns wild in a circle and is covered with food and trays. On the tarmac there are employees trying to approach the car, but it is clear that the car is too uncontrolled for them. Apparently, an employee was hit by the cart.
As the cart continues to spin, it approaches the nose of an airplane until a colleague in another vehicle crashes into the cart to avoid catastrophe.
"Everyone has been watching this very quietly," said Klauer. "When it came to an end, the whole gatehouse burst into applause."
American Airlines said in a statement that preliminary reports showed that the car's accelerator had gotten stuck and lost control of the car.

Klauer uploaded the video on Twitter before his flight started. When he landed in Knoxville, he said his phone had been blown up with notifications of thousands of notifications.
