Just hours after it became known that the investigators believe that the missing child of King Jay Davila is dead, the San Antonio police have spent much of the time Thursday night and Friday morning with the search for an area on the Northeast Side.
The search lasted for hours near I-35 and Rittiman Road under a bridge near the massive HEB camp complex. The police did not confirm that she had found anything on the construction site.
In addition to the active search, the police said the child's father, Christopher Davila, had a new charge of child injury in the case. Davila was arrested on Thursday evening for a related indictment for evidence manipulation on 1965-4; His mother Beatrice and cousin Angie Torres were also charged. It is possible that the charges against Davila will be upgraded.
King Jay Davila was missing a week ago in what the police described as a staged abduction. On Thursday, SAPD chief William McManus said that the investigators believe that the child has died, but that they are still looking for him.
Prior to the disclosure of SAPD, King Jay's mother told us over the phone, "My son is missing, someone knows something."
