Does anyone else have any scary Captain Jonathan Randall flashbacks? Outlander villain Tobias Menzies takes on the role of Prince Philip for The Crown 's third and fourth seasons. On Tuesday morning, the Netflix series official Twitter account shared the first photo of the 44-year-old British actor in the role.
In the recording, Prince Philip is dressed in a tuxedo with his many military awards on his chest, dressed to the nines. He seems to look out onto Buckingham Palace with a small smile.
The caption is simply "Ambition".
Menzies has made a name for himself on Outlander by doing horrible deeds, so that one can not imagine the difficulties he will endure as a prince Philip.
The show has already teased the new series of stars and first made a picture of the actress Olivia Coleman as known given Queen Elizabeth with the title "Patience." They then showed Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, writing, "Hope."
They also featured actor Ben Daniels as husband of Princess Margaret, Anthony Armstrong-Jones, writing, "Hurt."
An official release date for the third season of the Hit Royal drama has yet to be announced It is believed that the series 2019 will come again.
Actor Matt Smith portraying Prince Philip in the early seasons of The Crown recently opened the delivery of the baton to Menzies during a show at The Late Late Show with James Corden .
"I told him a few things," Smith admitted. "I told him a good book by Philip Eade, Young Prince Philip, which is very good, you know how it is, you can not offer too much, but I just said," God, make sure you have enough Pay and make sure that's it. "
The series became a controversy last year after Smith got over the fact that actress Claire Foy was playing Queen Elizabeth.
