The status of Karma Automotive, formerly Fisker and / or VLF Automotive, is somewhat confusing me. But the current iteration of the company has dropped a long and low electric coupe concept that lets me track down whoever is trying to get that thing on the road.
The Karma SC2 reminds me a bit of the Mercedes SLR, Ferrari Roma, Tesla Model 3 and Toyota Supra. But it is certainly unique. As a piece of automotive design, it's wonderful. Even if the close-fitting basset hound-ear doors look impractical. Seriously, how is anyone supposed to be able to close it from the cabin? Or open it in a garage? Anyway, we do not have to deal with such trivia for pedestrians, because as a cool sports coupe, this vehicle is just great.
Elegant. And it's hard to do both things at the same time. I think that the silver-on-tan color of this demo model (rendering?) Also contributes to the increase in the quotient of classicity.
Karma has published some hypothetical specifications for this car, but I do not think there are performance figures and characteristics for a car. Vehicles that do not exist are worth your attention. If you are curious, you are welcome to read the press release .
Karma also brings along the latest version of the Revero sedan, the GTS, but it's harder to enjoy it. This model has been around for so long.
The car seems to have committed to production The performance requirements are actually fascinating: there are two electric motors and a turbocharged three-cylinder engine that together should achieve a range of 360 miles, 130 kilometers in all-electric mode. According to the press release the maximum speed is 3.9 seconds and 130 miles per hour.
If you pass the LA Auto Show, these may be some of the prettier pieces of hardware to make eye candy.
