Efforts to limit the inclusion of Chinese technology in upcoming 5G projects in Europe could have "serious consequences for global economic and scientific cooperation," said Ambassador Zhang Ming in an interview with FT.
Some Western governments, led by the United States, have banned the use of the Chinese company's equipment in new networks because of concerns that the technology might be used for espionage. Huawei has denied allegations that network security has always been a priority.
