Geeks love to have certain names and labels for the different corners of the universes they love. So the Marvel Studios seemed to touch our hearts directly (because they are nothing or not smart) when they revealed that every grouping of movies that play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe belong to a "phase". Phase 3 Ends Next Month Avengers: Endgame Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has offered another name that we can totally obsess about: The Infinity Saga the the new seems to be -official name for the first 22 films of the MCU.
Yes, we can also smell the Blu-ray boxset.
The Infinity Saga
Speak with Empire Magazine, Fig Falls The phrase "The Infinity Saga" refers to the first 22 films or three stages of the Marvel Cinematic universe (and a big thank you to / film reader Eddie Woodley, who sent us a picture of the page to confirm this detail). This makes sense for a number of reasons – all these movies are loosely connected by the Infinity Stones, and they all culminate in the battle of the heroes around said bricks with the evil Thanos.
Fig explained why the upcoming Avengers: Endgame is the right place to close the door in this first "saga":
"We wanted a series of films to be unprecedented Finalize the way. Harry Potter had an end because there were only so many books. Lord of the Rings too. But we thought in 22 movies it would not be funny to give the story a certain finality.
So here's the big question: does this mean that three phases now equate to a saga? Will the next decade of Marvel films, the next over 20 adventures, also be connected and at the same time reach a climax, creating a new saga? If not, it's all very enjoyable! But if Feige and Co. really think this far ahead, we'll have nerd types who love to love the things we love, a Field Day with stages 4 through 6.

Also in conversation with Empire, Feige stated that there was a lot of discussion about where the infamous "snap" should be placed, the heroes of the Marvel Universe End Avengers: Infinity War It was even suggested that it occurs at the beginning of Avengers: Endgame but Feige stated that must make it a cliffhanger:
"We talked about it for years and years, so it was the reason to adjust the Infinity Gauntlet What was the most shocking thing we could do? Finish the movie with The Snap."
It is the right choice, if you put it at the end of Infinity War this is really something final (although we know that it is of course not the case). To play in the first 30 minutes of Endgame would have been a promise that it would be ineffective before the credits.
Original Team, Mount!
Of course, the snapshot has some Avengers alive. And it was no coincidence that the Core Avengers, the original team and their first allies were among the crackers. Finally, the Infinity saga must give one final farewell to these characters, those who are unlikely to be in Phase 4:
"People point out that this cap was not in the Infinity War And Iron Man did not really talk for half an hour, but these characters and all of the original six are at the heart of Endgame in a very personal and emotional way . "
Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, and other newer heroes will dominate the next phase, so forgive Marvel for putting them out of action for the moment, which could be our last chance to hang with Cap and Tony and Thor and the Hulk.
Avengers: Endgame opens at on April 26, 2019 .
