Press photos make a car look nicer and more beautiful than it really is is. They are picked from all optimal angles with just the right lighting and are likely to undergo a lot of post-processing. So if you want to know what the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E looks like in real life, you should take a look at this not particularly glamorous leaked photo .
On Thursday, Jalopnik released official Ford press images of the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E . The car looks pretty, the wheels are always turned at the right angle and the light glistens so subtly on the glass and tin of the car.
But what I want to see is how the car looks in photos that were not taken and edited by a professional, which is why this picture on the Ford Mach E Club Forum posted is so enlightening. The car is simply sitting in a studio, with white background and not much else. The wheels are just turned and the overall picture quality looks alright at best.
I do not know anything about the car in the picture. I also do not know much about the picture – who shot it, when did they record it or where did they record it – but the Breaking News team at VerticalScope, Inc., which owns the Mach E Club forum, has Jalopnik informed about his existence. We will continue to try to find out the provenance of the image and update this post when we do so.
Even on the unspectacular photo, the Mach-E looks pretty good, especially for a crossover. The bonnet and roofline look aggressive, and the front end gives off some Mustang vibration while maintaining a clear look.
It seems Ford has done a good job of design. Expect many more non-press images tomorrow when the car hits the market.
