The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is the most expensive and most feature-packed model. In addition to the 5G chops, the phone is the only one in the series that has a ToF sensor on both the front and back. ToF sensors can do wonders in portrait orientation with the main camera module, but they can also enable 3D facial scanning in real time.
When the Korean giant launched the 5G variant of its flagship for the first time, it was not easy to achieve fanfare about the ToF sensor and the possibilities it could unlock. Finally, the smartphone, the ToF sensor, can be used With an IR beam, you can now image your face in 3D by using the time it takes for the light to be reflected (eg the light from your nose has a shorter "flying time" as it is closer to the camera). This data can then be used to identify every bump and crease in your face in real-time, allowing a far safer experience than just unlocking your face with just a standard front-facing camera. Therefore, the camera can not be fooled by a 2D image of you. Of course, there are still ways to get around these advanced facial recognition methods, but it's definitely a step ahead.
Because it is a software upgrade, you must have the One UI 2.0 feature to work on your phone. Samsung is currently testing the beta version in Korea. Hopefully it will soon be available in other regions as well.
