After Google renamed its Project Fi mobile network to Google Fi this week, the company aggressively promoted new offerings to inspire customers and interest.
Just yesterday, Google offered $ 1,000 in travel for new and existing Fi customers who purchased a device through the Fi Store. The actual reward amount was exactly the price of the phone you bought. For example, a Pixel 3 XL worth $ 899 would make an equivalent gift card worth $ 899. However, a Google tweet announced a premature end to the deal, presumably due to extreme demand.
Today the company offers a more restrictive offer. Still, it's still a solid option to save money if you switched to Google Fi.
New customers will only receive a free month of Google Fi if they port an existing number to the MNVO, provided they bring along a suitable device.
The service credits can cover the unlimited conversation and text data of a single subscriber usage and taxes and fees for one month. The Service Credits can not cover international calls, 15GB regular speed data, Device Finance, Device Protection, Group Plan member expenses, or activities that Google Fi considers excessive, abusive, or fraudulent, such as the LG V35 ThinQ at $ 699 and a credit balance from $ 100 with Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL. If your plans plan to switch to Google Fi and missed yesterday's deal, this is definitely the time.
The promotion runs until December 16, 23:59 PST.
