LOS ANGELES – It's a house that's so famous it has its own Yelp page, and now the TV house is on sale for the popular sitcom "The Brady Bunch."
The three-bedroom, two-bedroom The bathroom residence, which was used for outdoor shootings during the filming of the classic show, which ran from September 1969 to March 1974, still has a meticulously maintained 70s feel.
From the MusiCall intercom with its golden pebbles floral wallpaper and stone fireplace, it looks like "The Brady Bunch" indoor scenes could easily be filmed in 11222 Dilling St., rather than in a studio in Los Angeles.
The house, which is located on the Los Angeles River near Colfax Meadows Neighborhood, is listed at $ 1,885 million. The current owners bought the estate in 1973 for $ 61,000, according to purchase records.
Ernie Carswell, Listing Agent for Real Estate Company Douglas Elliman, told The Los Angeles Times that they are arming for a flood of interest and will only be showing the house on an appointment basis to separate the buyers from the curious.
"We're getting ready for an avalanche," Carswell said. "E-mails, phone calls – we can see more than 500 calls a day."
Despite the attention that the house should get, Carswell said they will not jump on the first big offer, especially if it comes from a developer more interested in tearing down and rebuilding on the over 12,500 foot lot.
"We'll wait a few days if there are others who want to buy it as an investment to get it," Carswell said.
