The 1203 JetBlue flight from Newark Airport to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was diverted to JFK with caution after the crew reported a strange odor and a handful of customers and crew members were uncomfortable. The airline's corporate communications team shared PIX11 on Sunday With.
Flight 1203 left Newark at 6:00 am Sunday and should land at Santo Domingo at 10:00 am, according to JetBlue's flight tracking tool.
"The plane will be inspected before returning Flight 1203 will continue on another plane to Santo Domingo," the JetBlue spokesman said.
The Port Authority confirmed the Dominic A bonded flight was diverted to JFK and landed safely. The incident is still under investigation.
