The Israeli military says it shot down a Syrian fighter jet that entered the airspace.
The military say it overseen the advance of the Syrian fighter plane Sukhoi on Tuesday and shot down two Patriot missiles after entering Israel's airspace for about two kilometers.
It is only the second such incident along the border in 30 years.
