Thursday was quite a day for Apple News. First, we learned that Apple would host the iPhone launch event on September 12, just as rumors had it that some hours before Apple actually invited the media to attend the press conference. And then, marketing images of the iPhone XS, which Apple somehow left out in the open, made their way online. The same happened for the commercialization of Apple Watch Series 4 images.
The leaked iPhone XS image shows the two OLED iPhone X successors, including the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch models, in one gold version. It looks like Apple has painted the stainless steel frame.
The new iPhones also have a brand new wallpaper, which is exactly what we expect from every new iPhone release. However, you do not have to wait for the final version of iOS 12 to get the new wallpapers as you can download them in the image above. The people of 9to5Mac who have dug these marketing images at all have also provided the background image and can download it from this post.
There could be more wallpapers in iOS 12, but we have to wait for Apple to release the final build. This should happen after the press conference on September 12, but before the pre-orders of the iPhone XS begin (September 14).
It is unclear whether there is a connection between the wallpaper itself and a new iPhone XS feature. 9to5Mac says the background image shows Jupiter, but one reader suggested that we actually consider "thin-film interference on the surface of a bubble" rather than Jupiter and ask another if it's a sign that the new iPhone macro will support photography
Your guess is as good as mine, but we all expect the new iPhones to deliver new camera ticks. That's what Apple did with every new iPhone version. After all, the smartphone is the most used camera today.
