The pickup for the fourth season comes a few months before its debut in the third season.
Season Three of The Man in the High Castle will premiere on Amazon on October 5, the company announced on Saturday in San Diego Comic-Con.
And, oh yes, the show will also be returning for a fourth season. Amazon also announced the renewal at Comic-Con.
Given that High Castle is one of Amazon Prime's more popular series – at least in the opinion of Amazon, which, like other streaming providers, does not release viewer data, early pickup is not a big surprise. The show, based on Philip K. Dick's novel, is in an alternate history in which the Axis powers won World War II and divided the United States.
The second season ended with a nuclear explosion, but a series of characters crossing. Amazon also released a third-season teaser, indicating what's coming.
The Man in the High Castle plays Rufus Sewell, Alexa Davalos, DJ Qualls, Rupert Evans, Stephen Root, Luke Kleintank and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. Treme and Bosch The veteran Eric Overmyer appeared as a showrunner for the third season after the show, with no one still in the lead in the second season. Isa Dick Hackett, the daughter of Philip K. Dick, is also executive producer.
