The Michigan boy calls 911 and asks for McDonalds, the police answer

WYOMING, Michigan (WXYZ) – A five-year-old boy from Michigan had a craving for fast food on Sunday morning, and when his grandmother slept, he needed help.

Possibly unwilling to place an online order with Grubhub or UberEats, Iziah Hall grabbed a phone and dialed three digits.

Dispatcher: "Kent County 911, what's your emergency?"
Iziah: "Can you bring me McDonald's?"
Dispatcher: "I'm sorry, what?"
Iziah: "Can you bring me McDonald's?"
Dispatcher: "No, I can not bring you McDonald's."

Sara Kuberski was the dispatcher who Iziah's call answered. She said to

"We get a lot of people making their kids play on their phones, and many of them are disabled, and parents do not know they can still call 911."

She contacted a Wyoming policeman named Dan Patterson. He found the exchange pretty funny.

"I laughed to myself … The 5 year old calls clearance and orders McDonald's," Patterson told ABC13.

The officer went home to make sure everything was alright, but decided to make a special stop on his way.

"I thought I'd drive past McDonalds and I might as well get him something," says Patterson.

The officer delivered the food to Iziah and used the visit as a learning lesson.

"We all thought it was really cool that Officer Patterson went to McDonald's our night," says Kuberski.
