If you're wondering why ?] Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a trend on Twitter because a wave of Nintendo fans has launched a campaign on both the social media website and on Change.org to the notoriously stubborn Nintendo to move to the remaster of the second game in the series that many have already played on their GameCube in 2004.

Apparently, the whole movement started when YouTuber Arlo remastered a video titled "Let's Get Thousand Year Door." In the video, the case of a Nintendo Switch remaster is outlined, and the subject of why it was not remastered is examined, and most importantly, it encourages viewers to go to Twitter with #RemasterThousandYearDoor to tell Nintendo that there are players participating in a new updated V of the game are interested. And it works. The hashtag is announced on Twitter, thanks in part to a slow day for the social media site.

<p class=

" Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is loved by countless Nintendo fans and considered by many to be one of the best titles in the Gamecube, but is one of the few Nintendo first-party games that do not yet have a remaster, remake or digital re-release via services like Virtual Console and Nintendo Switch Online, "the petition says on Change.org. "The purpose of this petition and the #RemasterThousandYearDoor campaign is to tell Nintendo that a large number of its customers would be thrilled to buy an HD version of the game."

As you know, Nintendo is not an easy company to convince, but in the past Nintendo (via GameXplain) has determined that it could consider remastering the title if fans request it enough.

At the time of publication, the above petition ends with 5,500 signatures. However, Arlo, who made the petition, asks you to sign only if you would actually buy a remaster to make sure the number is indeed representative of the demand.

And that's why Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a trend on Twitter, and why so many Nintendo fans tweet about it in their chronicle.

As always, you can leave a comment and tell us what you think or tell me on Twitter [19459013verraten] @Tyler_Fischer_ and let me know. Want to see Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year-Door remastered for Nintendo Switch?
