Russia adds a humanoid robot passenger for its new Soyuz rocket launch.
The Russian space agency Roscosmos launched a new Soyuz booster on a trip to the ISS. Unlike other Soyuz flights that bring astronauts to the space station, this trip has a humanoid robot passenger named Fyodor. The real model name of the machine is Skybot F-850 and is one of the latest versions of the FEDOR robot that Russia has been working on for years.
Roscosmos monitored the condition of Fyodor during the launch and will continue to monitor the robot. Unlike Robonaut2, who spent years aboard the ISS, Fyodor will only stay there for two weeks to undergo some tests. Then you can drive home with the same Soyuz vehicle.
