The revival / reboot era of television is really in full swing. Shows such as Full House, Roseanne, Twin Peaks, Will & Grace and many others return years later with varying degrees of success. Could the American version of The Office be next? There are some reports showing that the show is coming back, but NBC has not made any official announcements yet.
While we wait for the official word, things continue. Angela Kinsey, who played Angela from the bookkeeping section of the show, posted a picture of herself on Twitter today, and (almost) all the leading actors who had a kind of get-together. The gathering, for whatever purpose, took place in the home of Greg Daniels, who introduced Ricky Gervais # 44; Office of American Television
. Some of the old gangs came together today … it was great to see everyone! I turned to Ed and said, "I feel like I'm at a family reunion." He smiled and said, "We're." ❤️ Thanks, Greg, for hosting! For those who can not do it … they were missing! pic.twitter.com/DwF42lNGHk

This is Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute), Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesly), Leslie David Baker (Stanley Hudson), Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone), Ed Helms (Andy Bernard), Paul Liberstein, Phyllis Smith, Creed Bratton and Oscar Nunez (Oscar Martinez) as well as Kinsey and Daniels ,
As you will see immediately, some people are missing. John Krasinski, who played Jim Halpert, is nowhere to be seen, and Steve Carrel is the glue that held the show along with his character Michael Scott. According to a report, the character Michael Scott is not on the reboot, but brings along a new boss. As for Krasinski, there are a number of reasons why he was not in the picture, though interestingly, he tweeted the current picture of Kinsey . Also missing is B.J. Novak (Ryan Howard) and Mindy Kaling (Kelly Kapoor), who have written several episodes of The Office in addition to their theatrical duties. Kate Flannery, who played Meredith Palmer, is also nowhere to be seen and neither of the newer season's characters like Ellie Kemper (Erin Hannon).
Already in July, Krasinski said he would love to be with him office mates for something new; he called her his family. Krasinski also said he believes The Office could return as a one-time Christmas special.
In a November episode of Saturday Night Live, Carrel tripped the audience into the cast with a playful opening monologue members talking about bringing the show back because they need the money. Even Carrel's real family urged him on. You can see the stupid segment below.
Earlier, Carell said in an interview that he thought it was a bad idea to bring The Office back. Not only should the show not come back, it may not work if it has a similar tone.
"The climate is different, I mean, the whole idea of this character, Michael Scott, was so dependent on inappropriate behavior."
Michael Scott, who is out of touch and somehow a jerk, is the point "Carell said, but that attitude would probably not fly in 2018." Much of what is presented in this show is completely crazy – that's the point, you know – but I just do not know how that flies now very high awareness of offensive things – which is certainly good, but at the same time, if you take such a character too literally, it does not really work, "he said.
