The OnePlus 7 Pro will have three back cameras, according to a recent company tweet. "Bells and whistles make sounds," said OnePlus in the tweet. "We make phones." Okay then. The camera has the hashtag # OnePlus7Pro, so the three-camera setup may be limited to the new premium model OnePlus, which will also have an improved display with an alleged 90 Hz refresh rate. The outlines in OnePlus Tweet are consistent with the renderings of the OnePlus 7 Pro. Although we felt this would come, direct confirmation is always good.
The launch event for OnePlus 7 Pro is scheduled for May 14th. Several events are scheduled to start simultaneously around the globe.
As far as the cameras are concerned, OnePlus will hopefully opt for the standard / telephoto / ultra-wide trio, which will be used more and more this year. However, there is a possibility that one of these cameras may be a depth sensor (as OnePlus did before), which would be inconvenient. I've always found that this is a waste of hardware. Are portraits on any Android phone with a depth sensor really much better than those without them?
OnePlus is certainly due for a new camera approach, after last year essentially the same hardware was used in OnePlus 6 and 6T. The company has made some improvements in terms of software and workmanship, but it is still a few steps behind the leading phone cameras on the market ̵
