A photographer was knocked unconscious after a collision with Georgia, who had pulled Brian Herrien back during the game on Saturday in Auburn, when Herrien was forced out of the barrier on a swing pass. When crossing the border, he hit her as she held her camera and she flew backwards.
Jamie Erdahl, CBS Associate Journalist, said that the woman, an intern in the sports department in Georgia, was still unconscious when medical personnel began to take care of her. However, she was awake and conscious as she was carried by the head and neck of the field on a stretcher and taken to the East Alabama Medical Center.
Erdahl also said that Georgia coach Kirby Smart told her that Herrien was visibly upset about what happened to the photographer in the locker room and that Herrien and QB had spoken to Jake Fromm for her prayer.
The game was postponed while the woman was being cared for. After his resumption Georgia scored 14-0 at half-time, ahead of # 12 Tigers, 4-0.
