On Thursday, President Donald Trump pardoned fraud-condemned former media mogul Conrad Black.
In 2012, Black wrote an article for National Review titled "Trump is the Good Guy," and Trump had agreed on the campaign that he would liberate him.

Jennifer Contarino Panning, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and owner of Mindful Psychology Associates in Evanston, Illinois. Panning coined the term "Trump-Anxiety Syndrome" for the emotions that people experience in volatile political times, including children who fear school shootings that are increasing.

"What happens to the mental health of students when they are confronted with such widespread shootings at school?

Jennifer Contarino Panning: Pupils Who Have Survived A School shooting is likely directly traumatized by such an event, but also American students who are not directly involved in school shootings were, have problems. Students regularly attend school blocking exercises nationwide, see or read news about school shootings in our country and hear their parents feel frustrated and sad that no real effort has been made to prevent school shootings.

All this contributes to a rising level of stress, and childhood is already increasingly burdened with bullying and social media comparisons as contributors, making it difficult to to deal with this extra stress in addition to the normal childhood stress. The helpless feelings that the students experience can lead to chronic stress and even psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I imagine that these students who left the politicians at this rally have problems with refraining from the legislators' "thoughts and prayers" after the shootings have taken place, without any concrete follow-up to prevent or combat this epidemic requirement. Our country does not focus on actionable methods to prevent mass shootings, such as stricter gun laws, and those students who have directly experienced the terror of surviving school shootings are fed up with this inaction.

Raw Story: Can you explain "Trump Anxiety Disorder"?

Jennifer Contarino Panning: Therapists in their practices began to cause concern among many clients right after Trump took office and to this day. As psychiatric specialists, we have not experienced this before in the election of a presidential candidate of either party. Trump Anxiety Disorder is a term that refers to a specific set of anxiety symptoms directly related to the uncertain sociopolitical climate that followed Trump's assumption of office.

Great leaders know they can not do everything on their own and rely on a group of trusted advisors. When a nation of people is under bad leadership, they gradually lose confidence.

People like and need predictability in their lives, so creating a leader who is brash and unpredictable creates chaos and the resulting stress. Safety is seen as a basic need (along with access to food, clean water and sleep) in Maslow's hierarchy of needs. So if the basic needs are not met, stress, anxiety and anxiety in a population of people with disabilities can become regular emotions people.

Gaslighting is a term that refers to a tactic in which a person, in order to gain more power, causes victims to question their reality , We've seen this phenomenon with Trump and his tactic that everything is great while people know what he's saying is not true. People are starting to question their own view of reality, and have to refer to facts from an unbiased source to confirm that they are actually experiencing reality properly.

In a situation that can provoke feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, it is important to try to become empowered in whatever way possible. For some people, this can be an interaction with their congressional representatives to work for the concerns that are important to them and their values. One good thing that has happened since Trump's inauguration is that more people have been active in political interest groups or ran for local office. There are many national and local grassroots organizations that are politically motivated. People can also donate money to concerns or interest groups to promote their cause. In everyday life it is important to watch our consumption of social media and news. It is good to be informed, but harmful, to be flooded with fear and fear that may result from reading or watching too much disturbing news. When you are flooded and demoralized, it is good to acknowledge these feelings and then connect with others by either directly expressing feelings and concerns with familiar relatives, or taking a break from the tide of emotions by having fun or relaxing activities with relatives company ones. Moreover, with so much negativity and stress in the news and in our culture, it is all the more important to get in touch with loved ones (assuming they are healthy relationships) and to express our concern and love for those who are important for our lives.

Raw Story: What happens to his followers? Why are you so uncritical about the President?
# p # 20_23 # ad skipped = NULL #
Jennifer Contarino Panning: I think there are several things happening to his followers. Some are lifelong loyal Republicans who are loyal to the party and who would support any Republican in office. Others are "one-issue voters" (eg against abortion) or belong to certain religious groups that follow conservative beliefs.

However, there is still a large group of Trump supporters who have unfortunately been brainwashed by the President. That's not her fault. Certain biased news sources such as Fox News contribute to this brainwashing, as does Trump himself with his manipulation tactics. Some of these followers are furious, feel disenfranchised and powerless, and feel sold off by former politicians who made unfulfilled promises, who were elitist and did not "understand" them.

Trump has addressed these Americans by fueling their fear and anger while triggering exaggerated threats from others (such as Mexican immigrants and transsexuals). He has also manipulated them to counter their own interests by making promises he will never meet (for example, to promote the miners' future jobs). He speaks of a good game as a "normal guy" even though he was born into wealth, but people believe in this story that he is "one of us". Trump has the charismatic ability to make his false credentials credible and chase the fears and anger of his followers.
