Dark mode is becoming more and more popular for both desktop and mobile applications, as it not only reduces eye strain but also saves battery juice. And these two requirements are just as important to team members as they are to everyone else.
Therefore, users of Slack's beta version for iOS were treated with the dark theme a few days ago, and now the same feature is being introduced Sleepy Beta on Android. However, Slack's dark mode is not a true black like that of Messenger or Reddit, but a grayish color that is slightly darker than the system-wide, dark theme of Windows 1
However, note that this is only true for yours Chat rooms and settings menus. On the other hand, the left sidebar, which displays the list of all your Slack threads and direct messages, retains the app's inherent purple color.
The dark mode is only available to those who have signed up for the beta version of Slack at the time. If you have not already done so, you can first switch to the app's Google Play Store listing and join the beta program.
Once you're there, you'll need to update Slack Beta to the latest version and close the app. Once you open Slack again, go to the settings menu and find the option for the dark mode below.
