The Krabi Provincial Court on Wednesday pleaded guilty to charges of murder and related homicides during a house invasion last July.
Several defendants pleaded guilty to some charges, which would normally lead to a reduction in their sentence, but the court said it did not commute the sentence because the crime "deeply shook and created public fear."
Although Thai courts issue death sentences for various crimes, executions are rarely conducted; the last is about 10 years ago
