"The Untouchables", Billy Drago, the star of Hills Have Eyes, is dead at the age of 73



Movie star Billy Drago died at the age of 73 following a stroke.

The actor, who has mastered the role of evil, starred in gangster film "The Untouchables" and horror "The Hills Have Eyes".

He also appeared in Clint Eastwood's "Pale Rider" and played the Demon Barbas on the television show "Charmed".

Drago was born the son of a theater family in Hugoton, Kansas.

His father was an actor and director while his mother was descended from Roma – and he took her maiden name for the stage.

Drago began working as a stuntman before moving to New York to begin his acting career.

He began his career in the late 1970s when he appeared in such films as "Cutter's Way," "No Other Love," and "Windwalker."

Drago has also lived on television in guest roles for shows such as Hill Street Blues, Moonlighting, Walker Texas Ranger, Trapper John, MD and The X-Files.

He also appeared in the music video for the Michael Jackson song "You Rock My World" of 2001.

Dragos actress Ms. Silvana Gallardo died in 2012.

He is survived by son Darren E Burrows – himself an actor who starred in the television series Northern Exposure.
