The first cry for help came on Saturday at 4.30 clock the guard in action.
With help from a New Orleans helicopter team and Morgan City's Marine Safety Unit, the Coast Guard rushed to help them as humans were caught by rising water.
A 77-year-old man in Dulac was among the rescued. When the Coast Guard reached the man, there were already three meters of water in his house.
He was escorted to safety using an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter.
While Barry Louisiana continues to flood, The Coast Guard has called on needy people to call 911 to seek help if they fear that some might attempt to report life-threatening situations through social media.
