GENEVA (Reuters) – The United States is called on Monday to destroy Russia's new cruise missile system, which claims to be a "direct violation" of the Nuclear Interstate Treaty (INF), and accuses Moscow, the destabilize global security.
"Unfortunately, the United States is increasingly finding that Russia is unable to meet its arms control obligations, and that its compulsive and vicious actions around the world have increased tensions," said US Defense Ambassador Robert Wood of the sponsored UN Disarmament Conference.
"Russia has been proven to destroy all SSC-8 missiles, launchers and related equipment to meet the INF Treaty," he said, reiterating the Trump government's plan to withdraw from the 1987 pact in early February ,
