Gio Urshela fouled a ball from the plate in the third inning, which hit him and hit him below the belt, knocking him down for a few minutes during the Yankees 13-5 win over Sunday's Rays. He finished the attack and played the next three innings, before he came on in the sixth for Thairo Estrada.

Dellin Betances threw 50 throws 90 feet on Sunday and expects to bring it to 110 feet in the coming days. He said he had no problems with his shoulder.
Betances said he expected to return to Bullpen next month, but do not look too far ahead.
"I had a setback, so we do not want to have the same problem again," Betances said of his simulated April play when he did not feel right. "We take our time, but everything went well [out]. We just have to keep going, keep building and hopefully everything will be cleared of the hill. I'll probably throw a ballpoint pen here soon, and from there on things are going pretty fast. "

Brett Gardner pulled out of a 2-by-26 slide with three hits, including a homer who had been his first extra base hit since 6 May. Two of Gardner's hits on Sunday came in sixth on the seventh. Gardner is the first Yankee with two hits in the same inning since Mark Teixeira in Cleveland on 10 July 2016.
"He has some pitches in the zone and was aggressive," Boone said.
Things are not going right, "Gardner said. "I do not know what went wrong, but I just have to trust the process."
Chance Adams threw up the last three innings and did not allow a run in his first Yankees' campaign this season. After the game, he was given an option on Triple-A Scranton / Wilkes-Barre for the Yankees to pause for Monday's game in Baltimore.
