HBO's final season of Game of Thrones is in the thick of its barrel, and a Belgian designer took the opportunity to revise the show's title sequence in the style of another major show on the network, Westworld
"Westerosworld" does two cool things: it takes the look and styling of Westworld 's opening speech – minimalist white designs and figures constructed with advanced 3D printers – and changes all that Like dragons, the house flags, the night king, and the iron throne, with a touch of color that accentuates them. The video also records the legendary title song of Game of Thrones and interprets it in the same style, thanks to composer Brandon Chapman, who released the track a year ago on Soundcloud and who apparently inspired the video project.
The description of the video notes that Belgian designer Gilles Augustijnen needed about eight months on and off work to bring After Effects, C4D, Photoshop, Illustrator, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Fusion360 and DAZ3D the sequence to life Supported by Pieterjan Djufri Futra and Loris Ayné (who provided feedback, support and assistance in modeling hard surfaces.)
The result is a great mashup of the two worlds – it's a fancy video and who knows? Perhaps in the end, we will find that Westros was a deeply immersive world designed for the excitement of rich tourists.
