If Android users love one, it's the score. That's why hardcore Android fans were so excited when nearly all smartphone makers around the world decided to copy Apple's iPhone X design earlier this year.
Just in case it was not clear, we are sarcastic and hardcore Android fans historically hated the score. Although Apple was not the first smartphone maker to cut a notch from the display, it was the first to use the notch design of the iPhone X. for obvious reasons – if Apple does something, they have to do it too. The worst part is that they copied the design for no practical reason. Apple only needs such a large notch due to the components of the TrueDepth camera system. Android phones do not have complex features for scanning 3D faces. Therefore they have always been able to use a much better and smaller design like the OnePlus 6T. But hey, then they would not copy Apple!
Of course, some companies are not content to just copy Apple, and on Thursday, Sharp decided to add value. Unfortunately, the pun is intended.
See: the ugliest smartphone in the history of the smartphone. That's right, people … it's finally here!
Sharp introduced his upcoming Sharp Aquos R2 Compact smartphone on Thursday morning, a monstrosity device could make your dreams come true for the rest of your life To pursue life. It has not just one but two notches … and they have different shapes! In the notch on the top is the selfie camera, and it's a drop shape like the Essential PH-1. At the bottom there is a notch for a home button, and it is designed like the Apple notch of the iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone XR. Together, they create a design that is downright obnoxious.
As for the technical data, the Aquos R2 compact has a 5.2-inch IGZO LCD screen with 2280 x 1080 pixels, a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and a 22.6 megapixel Camera, a 2.500 mAh battery and the version of Android 9.0 Pie by Sharp. Luckily, there is a tiny bit of good news in this story. Sharp's Aquos R2 compact is expected to be released next year, but will never find its way to the US coast.
