This island in the Pacific is the nastiest plastic-polluted place on earth

A brand new report has in fact revealed the world's worst plastic-contaminated landmass on Earth. Yes, there is an earth that is almost completely filled with plastic waste. The place is called Henderson Island, a small land mass in the center of the Pacific Ocean. Only recently, on the occasion of Earth Day 201

8, was the site highlighted to inform people about the poor results of plastic contamination.

This year's Earth Day focuses on the plastic contaminants that are among the most dangerous contaminants in the world because of their non-biodegradable nature. On World 2018, the focus was on the remote and uninhabited island of Henderson and a video was uploaded containing the island's sandy beaches as the Word Heritage site.

Henderson Island looks very beautiful in the video and is still very quiet it is also the most polluted plastic on earth. In 2017, it became known that Henderson Island has the highest density of plastic waste on its shores than anywhere on the planet. The video with Henderson Island was released on April 20 by the ESA Web TELEVISION. A recent Sentinel 2 satellite image from Henderson Island was used for the video. In the video, Henderson Island seemed like a perfect South Pacific island, but that was a picture drawn by the high sky. On the ground, the situation is varied. It was not the same Henderson Island that was fresh, clean, overjoyed a century ago. Now, the World Heritage site is indeed extremely contaminated because of the high volume of plastic waste.

In June 2017, a research study was published in the journal Procedures of the National Academy of Science, which showed how the whole Henderson On the island there is an insecure plastic contamination. The research study was led by biologist Jennifer Lavers from the University of Tasmania's Institute for Marine and Antarctic Research Studies. Lavers and her group estimated that Henderson Island hosts approximately 37.7 million plastic particle products, which is approximately 671 products per square meter (approximately 671 products per 11 square feet).

These plastic particles weigh about 19.4 parts or 17.6 metric lots. One can imagine how much the Henderson island is contaminated by plastic. Plastic pollution is worst not only in Henderson Island. The whole world is experiencing plastic contamination. Therefore, immediate action must be taken to investigate the contamination of plastic material and to protect our World Heritage sites.
